Some children live at Pediatric Specialty Care (PSC) who have sadly never known the joy of receiving the holiday gifts they would like because they are too medically fragile to ask. Many are technology-dependent, and 70% lack parental support. The happiness and excitement from such gifts, which many of us take for granted, can tremendously impact a child’s identity and sense of self-worth. This is why every September through December, The Gigi Project works tirelessly to make sure every child gets to experience the joyful magic of the holidays.
This year we supported two PSC locations, and the kind nurses and therapists helped form wish lists they knew could benefit the children at their respective locations. We were once again overwhelmed with gratitude when we saw the number of gifts that had come in. A special thanks to Nex Level Fitness, whole donated over 60 wrapped and labeled gifts, and to Wrightstown Elementary staff, parents, and students for contributing a mountain of gifts to our 2022 Pediatric Speciality Care Holiday Drive at the Doylestown and Philadelphia locations, respectively. And a huge thank you to all those that purchased gifts off the Amazon registries. Gifts were delivered just before the holidays and the staff at PSC were beyond grateful. We can’t wait to hear all the stories about how our gifts were received and the joy you brought to so many children.
