Our aging population is facing a variety of ongoing challenges that require a shift in lifestyle and the help and assistance of others. Our seniors need support from volunteers and organizations to satisfy their needs and wants, manage their physical and mental health, provide companionship and socializing, and offer transportation. Our partner organizations are here to help and are on a mission to help alleviate hunger and loneliness of our senior neighbors. Learn about opportunities to volunteer and donate.
Volunteering is great for the community, the organization, and your soul. Consider donating some of your time by signing up for a volunteer opportunity with one of our partner organizations.
Our partner organization, Caring for Friends, provides tins for meals, plastic bags for storage, and labels. However, they are open to receiving donations of sandwich bags, rice, mac and cheese, potatoes, and chicken gravy. They are seeking volunteers who can cook, assemble the meals, and pack. Kids are welcome! View the volunteer opportunities here.
